Heading Home is a single-player adventure game. It was made by 9 students (three designers, four 3D artists and two 2D artists) in Unreal Engine during a 4-week long game project at Futuregames. It tells a story of a little robot that crash-landed on an abandoned planet and tries to find his way back home.
I was responsible for making the plants which were mostly based on 2D concepts by Sanne Karlsson. I also made materials for the plants. The emissive material and particle effects were made by Elia Anagrius Stampes. In the last stage I helped as well with lighting and setdressing the levels with plants.
All the plants were made in Maya and Zbrush, textured in Substance Painter.
